WHAT: To educate Floridians on the benefits of using biodiesel, the
National Biodiesel Conference & Expo will host its first public
ride-and-drive and vehicle display on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 4-5,
2008 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando.
Mayor Crotty and country music star Michael Peterson will help kick
off the public ride-and-drive on Monday Feb. 4 with a ribbon
cutting ceremony.
The public ride-and-drive will give people who are not attending
the conference an opportunity to test drive the latest diesel
passenger vehicles from a variety of manufacturers.
WHEN: Monday, Feb. 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Representatives from Chrysler, Volkswagen, TOMCAR, World Energy and
the National Biodiesel Board will be available for interviews
on-site.
WHY: Biodiesel is a cleaner burning, domestically produced renewable
fuel. Biodiesel blended with petroleum diesel can be used in any
diesel engine without modification.
The National Biodiesel Board is hosting the National Biodiesel
Conference in Orlando, February 3-6, 2008. More than 4,000
people are expected to attend the conference, which is the largest
of its kind in the industry.
