Colby Appointed Senior SVP of Global Operations, SmartDriveIndustry Expert Reinforces SmartDrive's Position as a Leading Safety and Risk Management Company
SAN DIEGO, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- SmartDrive Systems, Inc., a global Driver Safety and Risk Management company, announced today that Kenneth Colby has joined the company as SVP of Global Operations. Mr. Colby has more than 23 years of experience in the software industry, and has served in a variety of executive roles. Prior to joining SmartDrive, Mr. Colby was President and General Manager for @Road, a Trimble company. In this role, Mr. Colby was responsible for day to day operations of @Road. Before @Road, he held the role of Senior Vice President, Operations for Vidus Limited, where he oversaw the company's software development, professional services, customer support and IT organizations. Prior to working with Vidus, he was Senior Director, EMEA for Sybase Professional Services, where he led an organization of more than 200 consultants and trainers in eleven countries across Europe. He was responsible for the delivery of product enablement, supplemental staffing, database and business intelligence solutions, and managed services to Sybase customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, Mr. Colby has experience in a number of entrepreneurial application software companies spanning the areas of Field Force Automation, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Asset Management (ERP II) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). He also has extensive experience in database management systems (DBMS), application development environments (ADE), and business intelligence/data warehousing solutions.
