Pilgrim International Inc. Begins Transition to Composite ConstructionManufacturer is Ahead of Schedule on Roll-out of New Construction Techniques

MIDDLEBURY, Ind., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Pilgrim International Inc. (Pilgrim) has moved up the introduction of its new lines utilizing CosmoLite Composite panels in place of traditional wood substrates. "After five years of research, design, and testing, it's remarkable to see everything come together as quickly as it has this past year," Commented Dave Hoefer, Chairman. "These new units are unlike any trailers this industry has ever built. The construction process is actually more streamlined because the materials are available on continuous coils that become bonded together. It eliminates the joining of several 4' X 8' panels to create a sidewall."

As a result, Pilgrim is shutting down its facility for two weeks to ready production of the new lines and retool the plant automation. "The first units are due off line mid-June, with a World Premiere showing to our dealer body scheduled shortly after that," said Jerry Sell, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "The new lines will have different branding than our existing products. The transition of our current brands to composite construction will be taking place later this summer."
