Miami Parking Authority Introduces 'Pay by Phone' Parking Service in MiamiMobile Payment Technology Offers Users Convenience, Comfort and Safety when Paying for Parking
MIAMI, May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Miami motorists now have a convenient new payment option when parking in lots and on-street spaces operated by the Miami Parking Authority (MPA). Effective immediately, MPA offers "the Verrus Pay by Phone service" at more than 8,000 regulated street spaces and more than 20 parking lots throughout the City of Miami. To use the service, motorists must first register their mobile phone number, tag number and Visa/MasterCard number with the Verrus service by calling toll-free, 866-990-PARK (7275) or visiting www.paybyphone.com . Once signed up with a free pay by phone account, users simply call the toll-free number from the registered phone and key in the location number (posted on the meter or on nearby signs) and the amount of parking time desired. The appropriate total, plus a 35-cent service charge (including the text message reminder cost), will be charged to the credit card.
