-- More than 110 university Baja SAE teams from around the world will converge at Caterpillar's Edwards Demonstration Center for one of the most exciting and popular SAE Collegiate Design Series events. What: Baja SAE(R) Illinois Where: Caterpillar's Edwards Demonstration Center Edwards, Illinois, USA When: May 29-31 Baja SAE consists of three regional competitions that simulate real-world engineering design projects and related challenges. Engineering students design and build an off-road vehicle that must survive the severe punishment of rough terrain and sometimes even water. Along with Baja SAE, SAE's Collegiate Design Series other competitions include Aero Design, Clean Snowmobile Challenge, Formula SAE and Supermileage.
